Little Miss Ransom

The play is a portrait of American obsession. In a world of ever increasing beauty standards, despite cultural revelations around autonomy, the characters of this play are propelled by the endless scroll to fall in and out of the more perilous depths of the internet age, where portraits of conspiracy theories, true crime, and unattainable perfection loom large. Although the play is a dark send up of these themes, it serves the essential function of the theatre, by turning its lens on the audience who must contest these themes for themselves, creating at once an experience that is not only entertaining but a civic examination of our more sinister cultural interests.
